DIY Part 2: creative gift wraps & cards

Posted by on Dec 3, 2015 in DIY

My best friend and I, for the longest time, have never been able to give each others birthday presents on the day of their birthday. Her birthday is in April, and mine is in September. So far, the worst it’s got is me giving her present a week before my birthday! However, we have never gone beyond the actual year – i.e we get our presents on the same year of the birthday, 2014’s present would be given sometime in 2014, and never in 2015. This year, however, was very close. Its currently the beginning of December, and I haven’t got my present, and she hasn’t got hers. Yet.

Last week, I managed to get some bits and bobs from The Body Shop for her – phew! And since I had no wrapping paper at home, and had even more patterned paper left from my nephews 1st birthday, I decided to use them as wrapping paper. I also used part of it for the card I made for her! I also used some tissue paper and tied some jute string around to secure the gifts that had little bottles and tubs.

P.S I am not the best card making human, but I thought this came out quite nice, even though it was extremely simple to make!
